 | The running theory is that the prevailing love of super heroes in popular culture is, well, dumbing us down on the whole. Could well be the case... but I think it's more a case of the apathy that we are being repeatedly beaten over the head with. Can you remember a time when there's been so much global disquiet, and when it's been so constantly spread across so many mediums of the media? So, fine, tell me we're being dumbed down. I don't really believe it. The real problem is that we are being encouraged to muffle and self censor. So, I'm happy that on some wall in Lecce, there's someone, who can get us out from under! :p |
